How to multistream to several platforms at once
Multistream means one stream, several platforms. The limit is almost never your PC – it is your upload. Here is how much you need and how to set it up in FabStream.
How much upload do you need?
Plan about 6 Mbit/s per platform at 1080p and keep about 30 % in reserve, because upload speed varies during the day.
| Example | Platforms | Stream | Upload with reserve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twitch + TikTok (Free) | 2 | ≈ 12 Mbit/s | ≈ 16 Mbit/s |
| 2 per format (Premium) | 4 | ≈ 24 Mbit/s | ≈ 32 Mbit/s |
| 4 per format (Ultra) | 8 | ≈ 48 Mbit/s | ≈ 63 Mbit/s |
Your connection’s upload is in your provider contract or in any speed test. FabStream’s assistant measures it and sets the bitrate for you.
Set it up in FabStream
- Add platforms per format. Settings → Stream → Add platform – Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok LIVE, Instagram Live, Facebook Live or any RTMP server. Choose 16:9 or 9:16 for each.
- Connect accounts where you can. With Twitch, YouTube and Kick connected, FabStream fetches the key itself and can set your stream title and category for you.
- Let the assistant set the bitrate. Settings → Assistant measures your upload and picks a bitrate that fits all platforms.
- Watch the status bar. It shows bitrate and dropped frames per platform; the chat panel shows viewers per platform and the total.
Tips for a stable multistream
- Use a LAN cable instead of Wi-Fi – Wi-Fi drops cost frames on every platform at once.
- Pause big uploads and cloud syncs on your network while you are live.
- Short on upload? Lower the bitrate of the format with fewer viewers first.

Frequently asked questions
How many platforms can I stream to?
Free: one platform per format (so two in total). Premium: 2 per format, Ultra: 4 per format, Max: 8 per format.
Does multistream cost extra CPU or GPU?
Hardly. Each format is encoded once and the same video goes to every platform of that format – what grows is the upload, not the load on your PC.
Is there a server in between?
No. FabStream sends each stream directly from your PC to the platform – no extra delay and no third party sees your stream. An optional Cloud Relay for a small upload is coming soon.
What happens if one platform drops?
The other streams keep running and FabStream reconnects the dropped one by itself. You can also add or remove a platform while you are live.
